Which Tea // Which Mood

Hello lovelies, and welcome back. I'm sounding more and more like a Grandma saying this every day, but whatever mood I'm in (happiness, sadness... or just feeling a bit blehhh) I always turn to a cup of tea! I used to stick to English Breakfast 24/7, only ever trying out an earl grey or mint tea whenever I was at a fancy hotel but now Herbal Tea's are a Staple in my cupboard. You just can't go wrong with them and in today's post I thought I'd share with you my favourite tea for every mood. Revision, Stress, Relaxation - it's all in here!

Lemon and Ginger Tea - Revision and Homework Stress

This first tea is my go-to for a 'blehh' kind of day, when I'm stuck at home revising or doing homework all evening and I need a hot drink beside me. I used to have coffee after school (literally just to keep me awake enough to complete everything I needed to do!) but I've cut that out recently and now opt for something a bit healthier. This lemon and ginger tea feels like quite a cleansing and refreshing one, and is also perfect for getting rid of any winter coughs and colds.

English Breakfast - 'Wake Me up'

But would I really be British if I didn't add this to the list? An English Breakfast tea, as simple as it is, will always be the most comforting one for me. Perfect for a morning 'Wake-Me-Up' since English Breakfast has more caffeine in than herbal teas, and sometimes you just can't go wrong with basics! Yorkshire is the brand my family buys but let me know what yours is haha?

This strawberry tea is the 'I'm feeling like treating myself' kind. It typically takes a bit longer to brew because it's loose leaf tea but really worth it, and tastes so sweet and fruity. We've had this in our cupboard since Valentine's day after it was in with that range in the shops and it's so cute (and actually has teeny sugar hearts in too!) And from Tiger as well, never the place that I'd usually expect to find teas...

Camomile and Spiced Apple - Can't Sleep / Relaxation

I always picture this as a Sunday Night kind of tea, you know that lazy, sleepy mood and I feel like this is perfect for it. The flavour is amazing, even though Camomile always used to remind me of babies aha, it's so soothing and great for calming you down before bed. I typically have this while taking off my makeup in the evening, or going through something chilled like my skincare routine.

Hope you enjoyed a more relaxed post this week and let me know in the comments what tea would suit your mood right now! Also, let me know if there are any teas you'd recommend to try and click here to read my last post on a Travel Lookbook.

QOTD: WHICH TEA WOULD BEST SUIT YOUR MOOD RIGHT NOW?
Probably a ginger and lemon for me because right now I'm stressing so much with homework tonight and organising myself for tomorrow...

  11. Ooh I love my tea! I LOVE Twinings Lemon and Ginger, so lovely and really has been helping with my bad throat at the moment. I generally love ginger tea anyway. I don't like chamomile at all - can't bear the smell or the taste. So my new favourite tea for relaxing is Yorkshire Tea's Bedtime Brew. It's decaf black tea with lemongrass, lemon balm, nutmeg and vanilla. It doesn't brew very strong (not meant to as it's a bedtime drink) but it has helped me sleep so much better and it tastes amazing! ☕️
