Hey lovelies! So since my last 'Plant Lover' room decor post went down so well, I thought I'd do another one for you guys, but this time for 'A Music Lover!' I definitely fit into this category (whether it's anything from Dodie, to bands like Panic! at The Disco, to 60's classics - I could listen to music for hours) and so I had so much fun trying to incorporate all of this into room decor. These ideas are really simple to DIY and so much nicer than just a few wrinkled-up band posters on the wall like I'm sure we've all had in the past hehe! There's everything from records to desktop backgrounds so I really hope you all enjoy. Ps. I'm thinking of making 'INTERIOR + DECOR' a whole new category on my blog, what do you guys think?
01. Tumblr Record Wall
I was mainly inspired by tumblr for this one (since records seem to be really trendy atm!) and so after digging through a few of my dad's old records in the attic I found a few of my absolute favourites to display in my room. I would recommend small pins as the best thing for securing them to your wall, and so once you've got those all that's left to do is arrange the records how you want and your good to go. It's such a great way of making a blank wall more interesting... and well ya end up looking hella artsy!
02. Music Note Plant Pots
I've mentioned before how much I love having plants in my room, and so this is such a cute way to combine the music and plant element of my room decor together! For this Diy all I did was print out a music sheet background from tumblr onto vinyl paper and then cover my plant pot with it. Double-sided tape works amazing for securing this too, and it's entirely up to you what kind of background you want to decorate your pot with really!
03. Polaroid + Pick Holder
Any guitar player (including myself!) will know just how easily you end up losing picks. I put mine down all the time and then forget where I left them so if you're like me this DIY is definitely for you! I bought this pick holder off Amazon , and stuck it to my notice board so now I always have a place for them and it's been an absolute life-saver. Also around it I added all my fave polaroids of singers and song lyrics which look so cute alongside it!
04. Album Desktop Background
This one is such a simple way to add a bit of a music-theme to your room with hardly any effort! For this, collage all your favourite album covers and artists together (I used picmonkey) and swap out your desktop background with it. I have this one on my screen currently and I love love love it. Ps. Can you spot any of your favourite albums on my collage?
05. Music Lover Lightbox
I've mentioned before how much I love these (but c'mon how cute!) and so it's probably no surprise that I had to include it in this decor post. Because you are able to switch out the letters in light boxes, you can change it to say whatever you want to fit a theme and for this I chose 'Music Lover.' Combining a few of the DIY's together, this would look so nice on a desk or bedside table with the records and plants behind it - and if you're feeling fancy you could even add fairy lights hehe!
QOTD: WHO'S YOUR FAVOURITE BAND // ARTIST?
