Hello lovelies! So one thing I'm definitely looking to add more of to my blog this year is 'interior' themed posts (since it really is one of my main passions!) and so today I thought I thought I would combine it with another one of my favourite things: Plants. I am a hUge plant lover, to the point where it's actually embarrassing haha and I love having them in my room! I find they add so much more life and colour to wherever you put them, and there are also so many gorgeous (tumblr-worthy!) ways of using them as room decor so if you're like me and have run out of ideas of displaying your lil' planty babes... then keep on reading.
01. Polaroid Plant
This first one is such a simple way of 'dressing up' your plant a bit! For this all I used were a few of my polaroids and hung them using little loops of ribbon off my plant. This works best when using a plant like an Aloe Vera, since it has lots of long leaf parts which are perfect for hanging light things like polaroids that won't damage it!
02. Mini Green House
You might remember this Ikea Mini Greenhouse from my haul back in the Summer but after seeing these all over tumblr and Pinterest I was desperate to get one. These little greenhouses sit perfectly on a bed side table or desk, and as well as acting as cute room decor, are a great way to grow your smaller plants in. You can also decorate it how you want, I decided to sprinkle some of this crushed glass from Ikea on the floor of the greenhouse and have a couple of decorative things like the owl and cactus inside!
03. Planty Lantern
Another Ikea buy... I swear my bedroom is literally an Ikea Showroom haha! This white lantern cost just £2 and is really meant to put a tealight in, but if you have any teeny succulents works as such a cute decor piece. Monty (yep I named him) sits inside this, a bit like a terrarium and I have it sitting on my dressing table!
04. Ivy // Fairy Lights Head Board
I don't know about you, but the headboard of my bed is so boring and so what better a way to decorate it than to pair the plant-y theme with every youtuber and bloggers favourite thing: fairy lights! For this, all I did was wind some fresh ivy along the top of my bed, intertwined with fairy lights and it turned out so gorgeous! I would probably recommend using fake Ivy instead if you're planning to have this up long-term though.
05. Light Box
These light boxes are just so cute and aesthetically pleasing, and because you can switch all the letters about you can change them to suit any theme you want! I added in the sweet lil' message 'plants are friends' but it's entirely up to you what you want to put in it. I got given mine as a gift but I'm pretty sure this one is from Locomocean!
QOTD: WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAVOURITE?
I think I'd have to say the light box!
