Just Another Winter's Eve.

Hey lovelies! Cosy winter evenings in are my absolute favourite, and amongst the build up to Christmas I've been having a whole lot of those lately For me, a typical winter's evening consists of fuzzy socks, re-runs of old friends episodes and way too many cups of tea... sound familiar? Not exactly the typical flawless youtuber-style evening routine you might find, but that's exactly why I wanted to write this post today. To give you a proper lil' insight into 'just another Winter's Eve' in my life, including all the weird little things I do and habits I have that make up my day. So grab a cuppa (preferably in a Festive Mug which I would most likely have by now!) and enjoyyyy <3

* Tea & Twitter *

The first thing I do when I get home is kick off my shoes, and swap them with some cosy slippers, because it's just not Winter without them right? I'll also make myself  a cup of tea and sit in my living room by the tree while scrolling through my twitter and other social medias. It's a little relaxing time to catch up with emails and things I might have missed! I'll also use the last of the natural light to take blog photos, because it gets dark so quickly now I find it so hard to fit in time to take my blog photos!

* Planty Family *

Next - as weird as it might sound - I water my plants. I have a whole lot of them in my bedroom (tad obsessed as you probably already know!) but every Wednesday I
remind myself  to water those that need it because who wants their little planty babes dying on them? I have cacti and succulents dotted all over my room at the moment, but the ones in this picture are in my mini greenhouse from Ikea if you're wondering!

 * Diary of an Internet Bean *

Now it's time for some Internet Jazz guys, At about this time on a Wednesday Eve' I will most likely be editing a post (like I am right now!) scrolling endlessly through my tumblr, snapchatting a few of my blogging friends or finishing off that day's homework. Oh how social I am. I've also been loving to do a bit of Christmas Shopping most evenings, and one of my favourite sites for online shopping lately has been Esprit. They have such an amazing Christmas Range this year, and so if your a lil' bit behind on gift-buying like me, it's perfect!

* Spotify & Present Wrapping *

Lately I've also been spending quite a bit of time each evening wrapping presents! Although I'm definitely not the best at it haha, I find it so therapeutic to just sit down on my floor with wrapping paper and ribbons strewn around my feet and my spotify playlist playing. I've raved enough about Dodie's new ep already in my last Love List but seriously, check it out if you haven't already. My current favourite song on it is 'When.'

* Bath & Supernatural *

After dinner, I'll go back upstairs with another cup of tea (yEp, another) and remove any makeup I have on with my Pure Active Micella Water, all while tying my hair back in the most unflattering bun possible. Good times, guys.

Occasionally I'll use something from the Lush Christmas range in my bath but sometimes I don't have time for a long, relaxing bath so it almost doesn't seem worth using a fancy bath bomb if I'm not going to enjoy it properly. Do any of you guys get this, or am I just weird aha? Instead I like to add a bit of this cinnamon bath creme to my running water to make the most Faaaab smelling bubbles. I also awkwardly prop my ipad on all sorts books and chairs outside the bath to watch a cheeky few Supernatural episodes!

* Winter Nights *

I don't tend to use a whole lot of fancy products on my face, before bed. All I like to do is put the Clinique Under Eye cream on, a touch of. Burts Bees lip Balm (because Winter dries me skin out so muchhh!) and I'm good to go. 'Go' meaning spending hours watching youtube videos in bed until I finally switch off and go to sleep. It's a bad habit aha, but one that I'm sure is going to last me through this Winter!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and eek this is my last one until Christmas! I had so much fun writing it and let me know if any of you spotted the lil' Dodie Polaroid in the first photo hehe!  I'll save all the sappy thank you's of this year for my December Love list, but wishing you lovelies and amazing Christmas and I hope you end up eating more mince pies than you can possibly handle haha!

  15. Sounds like such a perfect way to stay cozy in the evenings during the winter. I have been doing a lot of the same, just spending most of my time in the living room doing work while watching Christmas movies and feel-good cartoons in the background. Side note: I just watched Pets and thought it was just the cutest movie ever. And honestly, adding watering plants into your routine is not a bad idea as it's almost slightly therapeutic if you ask me. I have some plants in my office and I am doing my best not to kill them, which means making sure I do not over or under water because I have a habit of doing just that!
