Hello lovelies! So a couple of weeks back a little box of goodies arrived on my doorstep sent from Just Bee containing the three drinks I'm going to review today. I'm the kind of person who pretty much just lives off of tea and water (yes how very british!) the fanciest thing I ever do to my water really is pop a few lemon slices in so I'm always on the lookout for ways to spice up my water like this. Just Bee Drinks are a range of refreshing spring water drinks, 'enriched with a single drop of honey,' natural antioxidants and are under 50 calories. They come in three different delicious-sounding flavours, Apple and Ginger, Lemon and Green tea and Blueberry that you can see above which I've been trying over the past few weeks and well, this is how I got on! Oh and little note, all these pics seem to feature my baby succulents hahaha (but hey, they do look cute!)
A well as producing drinks, Just Bee are also keen bee lovers. A lot of their company is heavily focused on saving the honeybees which right now are struggling to survive. Not gonna lie, I'm the kind of person who would run straight in the opposite direction if faced with with a bee haha, but they're actually vital to out food chain and without them we would run out of many fruits, nuts and veggies. And so because of this, I even found a little sachet of wildflower seeds in my package to plain and help the cause. How cute is this? Of course this doesn't change my view of how the product tastes ect. it's really nice to know the good cause behind it since they donate 10% to bee charities, and I will be planting these vv soon!
“A classic combination, but much more light and subtle than a juice drink or ginger ale. Our local deli sells this one by the box-load every lunchtime. Great as a hangover cure we hear too! 86% spring water, only 49 calories per carton” – Just Bee Drinks
This was the first one I tried and I was pleasantly surprised by the subtlty of it. It tastes super refreshing for a hot day or even a carry-around for something like school where I often get dehydrated. Of course I can't tell if it worked as a hangover cure being 13 haha, but I am a big fan of the apple-ginger combo and it was delicious!
“Blueberry, another superfood, which we balance with a drop of lemon juice to make this one super thirst quenching. Let us know if it reminds you of a drink from when you were younger! 91% spring water, only 49 calories per carton” – Just Bee Drinks
I have to say, this one wasn't such a hit. I like the blueberry flavour but it was just a bit too sweet for me (kinda like a squash.) Chilled it was quite refreshing, but in comparison to the other two it definintely wan't my favourite. If you like that sort of thing and you want your water sweeter I'm sure you'd love this, but it was a bit 'meh' for me.
“Bitter Lemon and anti-oxidising Green Tea balanced perfectly with a drop of honey to give a mellow and refreshing drink. Just Bee lovers have told us this one is great for pre work-out hydration. 92% spring water, only 43 calories per carton” – Just Bee Drinks
my favourite flavour by far out of all of them! I love, love, love green tea and paired with the slight bitterness of the lemon it's perfectly balanced. I was a little worried the drink would end up tasting like a squash or cordial (which I find a bit too sickly sweet!) but like I said before, the lemon perfectly balances it out. I tried this before my run and it was the perfect thing, delicious!
Overall I really did like these Just Bee drinks. There a delicious twist on normal spring water, without being like those artificial tasting 'flavoured' water and ohhhh so refreshing. It's perfect for 'on the go,' or to throw into my schoolbag too. As you can probably tell I loved the green tea flavour and ginger one, hence why you might have spotted one in my last August Love List and I would definitely be buying those two flavours again. You can purchase them in Waitrose, Selfridges or Revital, or you can even just pop in your details on the Just Bee website HERE to claim a free little wildflower seed packet (just like mine!) to support the cause in your own way. Such a lovely company, so thanks so much for sending me these to review here on my blog, Just Bee!
