7 Ways to survive those long- haul flights

Hello again lovelies!  Welcome to another Sunday post, but before I start I'd just like to thank you all so much for your amazing comments and response to my Blogging Birthday post. I did not expect so many but ahhh it means the world to me that you liked it and I'm so grateful!
Anywayz, today I'm doing a Travel-themed post: 7 Ways to survive those long- haul flights. I'm literally counting down the days to my Summer holiday now (5 days left!) but It also made me think about a few of those awful flights I've been on in the past. When I was younger I used to love long-haul flights simply because of the lil' TV's you have on the back of your seat but nowadays I come of these planes feeling all kinds of blehhhh and I'm not the only one! So here are 7 ways to survive those long-haul flights and I hope any of you who are traveling far this Summer find it helpful.

Think window seat, first row of the plane...basically anywhere that isn't right next to the toilet (trust me we've all been there!) Also, if you're sitting next to people you don't know try to grab one of the end seats. When they start snoring you'll thank yourself that you're not stuck in the middle!

Hours of circulated air = Dehydration.
This is probably the most important tip for me! Although you can't bring more than 100ml I think onto the plane, try to stock up and drink lots at the airport and departures lounge. You can buy cups of water on the flight but depending on which airline you're flying with sometimes they can be hella expensive for just a few ml of water!

Don't question this guys. Everyone needs those fluffy socks haha!

Plane food can be pretty awful (unless you fly with Emirates and end up with some kind of Middle Eastern Menu mmmm.) So the best way to combat that is to get snacking. Take some little things in your hand luggage, eg. peanuts, cereal bars, dried fruit and of course probably my biggest essentials...mints and gum. Just sneakily eat these though otherwise everyone will want one. (Think. Seagulls from Finding Nemo haha!)

Now I'm not saying pack your entire beauty collection in your hand luggage, but hygiene is vv important on long-haul flights. Bring your deodorant (non-aeresole!) toothpaste, cleanser and whatever else you need. Who knows, you might just come off the plane feeling a little bit more human! I think the restrictions are 100ml though, so like I said don't go overboard!

Unless your seat has a power outlet (which in that case you may have to share with 3 other people) pack a portable charger. These come in super handy in the everyday too, but if you don't want your phone dying within the first hour of the flight definitely buy one of these!

Screw looking cute guys. Pack your sweats and oversized t-shirts and put that hair up in a messy bun! Being comfortable is one of the most important things on a long-haul flight and so don't worry about looking your best on these - no ones watching! As for makeup try to keep it minimal (maybe just concealer and mascara if you planning on bringing makeup.)

So there ya go! I hope these tips make your next long-haul flight a little easier, and I'd love to know where you guys are travelling to this Summer or if not, what cool stuff do you plan on doing at home? I loved writing a more travel- themed post and I can't wait to write even more for y'all x

It just got back from France and then I'm going to some Summer music festivals, but overall I just want to chill out and sleep over the next few weeks hehe!
